Vivo Y400 Pro 5G India Launch: Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has launched its budget-friendly Vivo Y400 Pro 5G handset in India, ahead of the Vivo T4 Lite 5G (scheduled to launch on June 24). The new smartphone is an upgraded version of the Vivo Y300 that was launched in India last year.
The device runs Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15. The company has promised that the phone will receive Android updates for 3 years and security patches for 4 years. The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G comes in two storage variants: 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.
The device is available in three color options – Fest Gold, Nebula Purple, and Freestyle White. Along with this, many AI-based features have also been provided in the phone, which includes Google’s Circle-to-Search support.
Vivo Y400 Pro 5G Full Specifications
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which is a 4nm octa-core processor and is designed for efficient performance. It has a large 6.77-inch AMOLED display that comes with Full HD+ resolution (2392×1080 pixels) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
The display also has a touch sampling rate of 300Hz and it supports a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which makes visuals look vibrant even in bright lighting.
The phone packs a 5,500mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging. The company claims that the device can be fully charged in approximately 53 minutes.
Along with this, the feature of bypass charging has also been given in the phone during gaming, which reduces the heat and keeps the health of the battery safe.
Although the phone doesn’t have a microSD card slot, the Vivo Y400 Pro supports extended RAM with an option of up to 8GB additional RAM, which makes multitasking even smoother. For photography, the phone has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP front camera for selfies and high-quality video calls.
Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps, while 1080p recording can be done at 60fps. The device is also quite strong when it comes to connectivity – it gets dual 5G SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, which keeps users connected seamlessly.

This phone is available in two storage configurations: 128GB storage with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with 8GB RAM. The base variant is priced at ₹24,999 while the higher-end model is available for ₹26,999. Consumers can purchase this smartphone from Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon and retail stores in India. Currently pre-orders are open and sales will start from June 27.
